Picture a therapist - that warm, touchy-feely kind of guy who thinks that hugs can fix just about everything from nervous breakdowns to the kitchen sink. Got it? Now, take that image, cram it into rocket and blast it off, not into the next galaxy, but into the next universe. The distance between the Earth and the image that just got jettisoned? That is roughly how close Dr. Perry Cox is to being that kind of therapist.
No more thrilled to be present than his patients, Perry Cox has been sent to Landel's as a form of punishment. Not for such things as malpractice or sexually harassing staff members, but for literally punching out his boss. Cox is what you would call a rebel; he enjoys being seen as a rule-breaker or a "big, scary doctor" that is to be feared by all. He has come by his personality honestly though given a rough childhood, marriage, divorce, and eventual job as a Residency Director where he would oversee interns trying to become doctors. With interns to abuse and superiors to piss off, Cox has had no end to the amount of outlets by which he can feed his superiority and/or God complex.
Despite all of his big talk though, Cox does care for his patients and became of a doctor for the purpose of being able to help others. He did this however by going into medicine, not psychiatry. As Doctor Cox has been to multiple therapists on more than one occasion and additionally loathes shrinks and all they entail, his relocation to Landel's as one has set him into a foul mood where he's no more interested in helping his patients than things like rainbows and kittens.
As such, he's put items in his office that he can care about. A big screen television is hard to miss as it's been mounted to almost cover the far wall while his mini-fridge is kept hidden behind the standard fancy doctor desk so that no nurse, patient, or otherwise will bother him over having a stash of alcohol. Apart from those particular touches from home, Cox has left the rest of the office decoration over to the one's running the place. Against dark green walls the heavy wood furniture paints the picture of a cozy, yet professional office, that is when Doctor Cox isn't lounging on the prepared sofa, watching football games on the big screen.
Cox is going to do everything in his power to get himself kicked out of Landel's. Whether you are on the staff or a patient proper, this is your only warning. Stay out of his way, or pay.
Doctor's Office Number: 8, as it is one step beyond that perfect 7.
Assigned Patients: Macadamia, Goose, No Show, Hotshot
